Genteon, Inc.
and Advanced Chemistry Development have signed an agreement whereby
ACD will provide its new ACD/GeneManager software for integration
with Genteon’s Capella 400ä,
a high-throughput 384 capillary electrophoresis system for DNA polymorphism
analysis.
Building on ACD’s expertise in the development of spectroscopy
and chromatography software, ACD/GeneManager software was specifically
developed to interpret capillary electrophoresis data.
Features include baseline correction, curve smoothing, mobility
shift correction, peak height normalization, multi-component analysis,
peak picking, and sample tracking.
Special versions based on Genteon’s internal standards have
been developed for SNP analysis and DNA fragment length analysis
with the Capella 400.
Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc. is a leader in the field of physical
property prediction, desktop chromatography and spectroscopy management,
systematic naming, and Web-based access to chemistry prediction.
Founded in 1993 and with headquarters in Toronto, Canada, the company
employs over 100 people and has established worldwide distribution
channels. ACD's mission is to define a new standard in capability
for chemistry-based software, addressing the needs of spectroscopy,
chromatography, global solutions for analytical data management,
physical property prediction, and chemical naming. Information on
the company and its products can be found at www.acdlabs.com.
Genteon, Inc., founded in 2000, is headquartered in San Diego,
CA and is engaged in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization
of high-performance scientific instruments.
The Company’s first product, the Capella 400, is a very high
throughput capillary electrophoresis system designed to speed the
discovery and reduce the cost of studying genetic variations. Genteon’s
team of engineers and molecular biologists with extensive experience
in genomics is ready to provide its clients with optimal solutions
for their high-throughput DNA analysis needs.
